The innovation gap in acute pain has left patients and physicians with limited choices for too long. That’s why Adneuris has developed a first-of-its-kind therapeutic that takes a novel approach of activating both Nociception/Orphanin FQ Peptide (NOP) and µ (MOP) receptors to modulate pain.

  • As a dual-NOP/MOP receptor (dual-NMR) agonist, cebranopadol engages the body’s NOP pathway to enhance pain relief while reducing adverse effects like respiratory depression, dependence, and abuse potential.
  • Opioids bind to the MOP receptor and create an imbalance in the body that leads to euphoria and dependence, simultaneously engaging the NOP receptor better controls those potential side effects.
